This is a condition in which children are unaware of wetting their bed while sleeping. The problem is also called nocturnal enuresis. In such cases, a child can wet his or her bed regularly or after a gap of two to three days. When the problem of bedwetting persists after five years, then it requires medical attention.</p><p>Causes of Bedwetting: -</p><p>•    Immaturity of the nervous system</p><p>•    Defects in urinary tract</p><p>•    Hormonal imbalance</p><p>•    Certain diseases such as diabetes.</p><p>Symptoms of Bedwetting: -</p><p>•    Many bedwetters daydream or have harms with focus and concentration.</p><p>•    Bedwetters usually wake up gradually in the morning and may be grumpy and irritable.</p><p>•    Almost all bedwetters have had some daytime evils. Some example of these problems is: an inability to &#8220;hold it&#8221;, a need to urinate often, leak and accidents.</p><p>•    Bedwetters wet the bed more than 6 times per year.</p><p>•    Many bedwetters exhibit signs of ADD/ADHD</p><p>•    Lots of bedwetters snore and grind their teeth.</p><p>Prevention for Bedwetting: -</p><p>•    Let him drink a lot of water during the day.</p><p>•    Try bladder training.</p><p>•    Try using a prize chart with children who are old enough to know the difference between reward and punishment.</p><p>•    Always do bedwetting exercises which can cure the bedwetting problem.</p><p>•    Make the child chew cinnamon bark once a day.</p><p>•    Wake him up in the middle of the night and urge him to use the bathroom.</p><p>Home Remedies for Bedwetting: -</p><p>•    Take Neo tablets (Charak) in the dose of 1 to 2 tablets daily for at least two to three months. This is a good home remedy for bedwetting.</p><p>•    Herbal Tea: A concoction made up of horsetail, bearberry and oak bark is a well known ayurvedic practice that prevents flow of urine while sleeping.</p><p>•    During winter season take care to put your child enough arm clothes so that they remain warm and urinate less.</p><p>•    Avoid Liquid: Liquids in any form should be avoided before going to bed which otherwise increases the occurrence of urination.</p><p>•    Avoid giving soft drinks and tea to your children. As these things will make them go to urinate more often than needed.</p><p>•    Banana: these are considered to bind stomach and have been used to prevent bedwetting at night. In this excerpt, Jim Katsoulis shares on self-hypnosis to turn yourself around when you&#8217;ve gotten off course.</p><p>Renegade Water Secrets with Jim Katsoulis, a certified master hypnotist, a NLP practitioner, a yoga instructor and great motivator.</p><p>Kevin: Can you talk about that, if you were driving the car and you took the left and you knew it was the wrong way, how do you deal with that situation? You do mess up, you&#8217;re eating a whole raw diet and someone brings you a chocolate cake and you eat the whole thing.</p><p>Jim: Yeah, yeah. That&#8217;s perfect. So let me get the specifics here. This is where I came up with self-hypnotic programming. I believe that people program themselves constantly, for example, whatever day tomorrow is for you, you think about what you&#8217;re going to do tomorrow, and you already have a pretty clear idea of it. This happens with a lot of&#8230;You know when I was saying, some people have three to four patterns, and I say patterns because when people give in to&#8230;Say that they&#8217;re raw. They&#8217;re raw and then all of a sudden they end up eating a whole cake. What I&#8217;ve found is that it becomes this whole different emotional pattern in that situation. They can go for, maybe I&#8217;ll last raw for a week or two. Then I find out something happened. Well what ends up happening, a lot of times, is that they run out of emotion. Emotions are associated to food. So sometimes people can feel, they&#8217;ll sit on the sofa and eat and they&#8217;ll feel a sense of relaxation. They grew up that way and they would always eat at night, they feel relaxed. Well what ends up happening is they say, &#8220;Okay, I&#8217;ve got to stop eating this way.&#8221; They get rid of the food but what they simultaneously do is get rid of the emotion that they were getting from that as well. So now it creates a vacuum. They don&#8217;t have don&#8217;t have the food, but more importantly, they&#8217;re not experiencing the sense of relaxation. And eventually it throws them off kilter and their mind says, &#8220;You know what? This is horrible. I feel like I&#8217;m ready to kill someone. I&#8217;d rather be a little more calm and be overweight then be in a body that feels crazy.&#8221;</p><p>So this is what happens a lot of times when people get off track with their eating. A lot of times they get emotionally unbalanced. The thing I find over and over again is when people kind of fall off the wagon, is that they were in a stressful state or they were depressed. What happens is in their lives they haven&#8217;t learned other ways to experience the emotions that they need to have. And they&#8217;ve learned to do it through eating. The classic one was companionship. I&#8217;ve heard this more than once where people when they were growing up would go out for ice cream with their family; a genuine sense of connection, companionship, warmth, love and all the rest of it. Well fast forward 30 years later, it&#8217;s Friday night, they&#8217;re all alone, they feel crappy and they start eating ice cream. And again, this doesn&#8217;t make logical sense but on an unconscious level they start to begin to sense and feel those emotions of love and everything else. Obviously they&#8217;re not as strong as when they genuinely felt them but people get used to accepting this level of emotion through these behaviors. I came up with this term I call emotional malnutrition. They&#8217;re not experiencing emotions that they truly want at the level they want.</p><p>So what I would suggest is this, begin to look at the patterns of behavior you have. And you&#8217;re going to notice patterns, you&#8217;ll notice&#8230;The classic one, someone gets depressed, &#8220;I got all worked up, someone pissed me off and said the wrong thing, screw it, I&#8217;m eating whatever I want.&#8221; This becomes a pattern. So what self-hypnotic programming is all about is teaching yourself a new behavior beforehand. So that&#8217;s the first step. You need to figure out what&#8217;s going on, when you&#8230;Because that person maybe the first week or the first couple of days when they were eating raw they could&#8217;ve gone into a bakery and they wouldn&#8217;t have cared less. It&#8217;s not the external world that&#8217;s changing, it&#8217;s them.</p><p>It&#8217;s the way they feel, the way they&#8217;re perceiving things and what they&#8217;re connecting to. So it&#8217;s so important to focus on the inside. Where are you at emotionally? That&#8217;s the game right there. What was the difference between when they could go into a bakery and they were fine and when their friend would offer them something they said they ate the whole thing. I&#8217;d suggest that something emotionally was a little different. And what you begin to ask is&#8230;I&#8217;m just going to make up a situation here, so you can follow along with this, say they were mad and their friend came over and said, &#8220;Well how about a cake.&#8221; And they said, &#8220;Okay, fine. Screw it.&#8221; So when someone gets mad what I would suggest is that they need a new way to kind of release the steam. Now you come up with it beforehand.</p><p>This is when it becomes personal. This is why I don&#8217;t like diets, because every person is their own unique person, their own unique history, body, own mindset, all the rest of it. So you can find out for yourself what works. Some people like exercise, some people like watching TV, some people like doing computer, whatever. You ask yourself and you come up with some alternatives. This is how you learn from your mistakes. And you say, &#8220;Okay, when I get mad I have a tendency to not care what I eat. I know that&#8217;s a pattern I&#8217;ve had in the past. What&#8217;s something different I can do in the future when I get mad?&#8221; This is another value, by the way, of not being 100 percent, accepting that you&#8217;re going to fail. Accepting that you&#8217;re going to make mistakes and saying, &#8220;When I feel that way in the future what am I going to do? Am I going to beat myself up about it or am I going to learn from it?&#8221; And you go into a situation, and again it&#8217;s emotional, I promise you it&#8217;s emotional. You get bored, you get lonely, you get depressed, you get mad, that&#8217;s what triggers the eating or the behaviors that are sabotaging what you want. So you come up with new alternatives. I&#8217;m not saying it works perfectly. I&#8217;m not saying that. But what it does is it gives you a system to create genuine change. Because all of a sudden you&#8217;re looking, I promise that a person in an emotional state is looking for a shift in how they feel and to prove they&#8217;ve learned how to do it, but once they learn new ways it changes everything.</p><p>Let me give you one quick example, then we&#8217;ll move along here but I think this is a great example. One of the classics people work all day, they come home they&#8217;re tired and they eat all night. Why? Because that&#8217;s how they learned how to relax, the food was just always part of it. I worked with a lady who had this problem and instead of just saying, &#8220;Well stop eating at night.&#8221; We took a step back and said, &#8220;Okay, when you get home, how do you feel?&#8221; &#8220;I&#8217;m exhausted, I&#8217;m really tired. I work hard and I&#8217;ve got a lot of responsibility. I&#8217;m tired.&#8221; Okay, so when you eat, what are you looking for? What are you looking to feel? &#8220;I&#8217;m looking to just relax, zone out and forget about it all.&#8221; I said, &#8220;Great, that&#8217;s what you&#8217;ve got to do. What would be ideal? If you could eat and feel exactly what you wanted, what would you feel?&#8221; She said, &#8220;I&#8217;d feel energized. I&#8217;d be able to eat, relax and then I&#8217;d get some energy and I could do some other more things.&#8221; I said, &#8220;Okay, what is another way&#8230;What&#8217;s something else you could do other than eating that may bring you closer to that feeling?&#8221; This blew my mind, she should&#8217;ve won the Nobel Peace Prize, she goes, &#8220;I could take a nap.&#8221; Look how obvious that is, right? She gets home, she&#8217;s tired, she&#8217;s exhausted. Well, what should you do? I didn&#8217;t tell her. She just said she knew this the whole time, she wanted to take a nap. I said, &#8220;Okay, would that be something you could see yourself doing in that situation?&#8221; And she goes, &#8220;Yeah. Yeah, I think so.&#8221; &#8220;Go home and try it.&#8221; She comes back the next week and she goes, &#8220;Oh my god.&#8221; She said, &#8220;I did it and I found I would only sleep for half hour, forty-five minutes, and I would wake up and I would feel so relaxed and calm and I&#8217;d have a nice level of energy and my eating just got better on its own.&#8221;</p><p>Everyone on this call knows this, when you&#8217;re in certain emotional states you eat differently, automatically. And that&#8217;s the secret. You want to find&#8230;See most people find control how they&#8217;re eating no matter how they feel. They don&#8217;t pay attention to how they&#8217;re feeling so they get really upset and they just, &#8220;Oh, I can&#8217;t eat. But I don&#8217;t know any other way to let this upset go and calm myself down.&#8221; That&#8217;s the problem. So once you learn how to influence your feelings in a real way, in a genuine way, I&#8217;m not talking about fooling yourself. I&#8217;m talking about being more honest than you&#8217;ve ever been in your life. And when you can genuinely feel the things you want and you start to get upset and you can genuinely change that into letting it go or calm or ambition or energy or whatever, then you have some real control. Then the eating takes care of itself. You need to presuppose right from the beginning you need to create an image and an idea of what it would be like if your eating was naturally in control. If you were 100 percent raw automatically, how would you think? What would you feel? What would you do when you got upset? This is where modeling comes in.</p><p>So that&#8217;s what I would suggest for the person. First of all be calm with yourself, don&#8217;t get yourself all worked up, don&#8217;t get yourself upset about mistakes you make. Learn from them. Go back in your mind. There&#8217;s a great, great technique. Go back in your mind and say, &#8220;If I could do that over again, what would I do differently?&#8221; And play it in your mind. That&#8217;s how you reprogram your mind. Most time people make a mistake and they replay the mistake over and over and over again. What that does is program you to do it over again, exactly the same way. So you want to take a step back and say, &#8220;If I could do it over again, knowing everything I know now, what would I have done differently?&#8221; This creates new connections in your brain. It creates new alternatives, new options, new behaviors. And it does it automatically. And we generally don’t mention it frequently and take note of it, but it also requires a host of personal qualities like stubbornness, eagerness and perseverance.</p><p>The American word ‘gumption’ goes a long way in summing it all up. In other words, <strong>Meditation takes ‘gumption’</strong>. It is definitely much more easier to just kick back and watch your favourite television show. Or, just get into the usual pattern of idle gossiping of what is going around in the neighbourhood or some other idle chat.</p><p>So, the question arises why bother about meditation after all? Why waste all the time and energy when we could be enjoying ourselves or use that time to make more money for our future? Why bother? But its very simple. Because we are human beings. And due to this simple fact that we are human beings, we are heir to an inherent unsatisfactoriness in our lives, and it does not simply just go away like that.</p><p>For a while it is possible to suppress it from our conscious mind. We can distract ourselves for many hours and hours at a stretch, but it always comes back. No matter what the object of distraction is, it simply finds itself incapable to grabbing our attention and interest for a long time. We eventually get bored and shift to some other distraction.</p><p>But all of a sudden, seemingly out of the blue, we all do sit up, once in a while and take stock of the actual situation of our life. We ask ourselves this question – When is the day of true Bliss going to come in my life? When desires and dissatisfaction will bother me no more? When will I be happy and Blissful always? When will that day of Nirvana come?</p><p>The day of Nirvana is nearer and closer than you think. <strong>Meditation</strong><strong> is the key to Nirvana</strong>. It’s the remedy to all our problems. It is the master key to unlock all doors to heaven. It is the antidote for all the ills that bother us day in and day out. And we have been avoiding the medicine called <strong>Meditation</strong>.</p><p>The more we give room to Meditation in our daily routine, the more Bliss enters our life. So, it is really worthwhile to bother about meditation, no matter how time consuming and energy consuming it seems in the beginning. But every second and minute devoted to meditation is worth its weight in gold in the long run and pays dividend manifold times.</p><p>The presence of an Enlightened Master makes life very easy for the Meditator. The Master is a Pro in the field where the disciple is a rookie. The techniques devised by the Master can go a long way in illuminating the being of the disciple when practised regularly. While some people suffering from Autism are relatively high functioning, there are others who are mentally retarded, have serious language delays, or are mute.</p><p>The actual cause of Autism is not known. But Autism is relatively easy to spot, and children as young as 18 months start showing symptoms. It is futile to believe that children will just grow out of it. In fact, the early years provide the best time for progress and improvement. So, intensive therapy should begin as early as possible. While different children suffering from Autism may have different problems, parents of such children have to face one overwhelming challenge &#8211; there is no single agreed upon method for treating this condition. Parents, researchers, and doctors have not been able to reach common ground here.</p><p>Autism treatment usually consists of a combination of behavioral therapy, language and speech therapy, and special education in schools. Reports suggest that play-based behavioral therapies and alternative treatments involving dietary restrictions and vitamin supplements are beneficial. But, there is no solid proof to support this. What makes matters worse is that many children are beset with additional problems like sleeping difficulties, anxiety, or gastrointestinal problems.</p><p>ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis)</p><p>This is often referred to as the Intensive Behavioral Intervention (though there are differences between the two). Studies show that children suffering from Autism can make dramatic progress when they receive this kind of instruction. Parents and doctors mostly accept this treatment because this is one of the most researched of all treatments. This program involves intensive one-to-one interaction between the child and the teacher. Each skill is broken down into sub-skills and each of these sub-skills is taught intensely, one at a time. It is a reward-based program where toddlers receive a lot of positive reinforcement. Activities begin from simple actions (identifying colors) and progress to more advanced activities (language). ABA depends on prompting, positive reinforcement, and differential reinforcement.</p><p>Nutritional Therapy</p><p>This therapy is based on the surmise that certain ingredients in food can have a damaging effect on the brain of an autistic person. Leaving some substances out of the diet (milk and gluten, for instance) have shown startling positive changes in patients. Additionally, vitamin-B12 and magnesium supplements are administered to cover any deficiencies. These kinds of special diets curtail some of the more distressing symptoms like disruptive outbursts, restlessness, and sleeping disorders.</p><p>Anti-fungal Treatment</p><p>Since autistic children often suffer from poor bowel ecology, overgrowth of fungi and microbes is a problem. Therefore, autistic children respond well to anti-fungal treatments. These children are also found to have high concentrations of yeast and anaerobic bacteria. Evidence suggests that Candida Albicans, a form of yeast, may cause Autism and may also exacerbate the behavioral and health problems found in autistic children.</p><p>A detoxification treatment called Chelation Therapy is slowly gaining popularity among doctors. This treatment is based on the theory that some children&#8217;s vaccines are exceptionally high in heavy metals like mercury preservatives, and this causes autism.</p><p>It is because of the vast multitude of therapies that many desperate parents opt for combination treatments. An estimated 30% of parents try special diets, non-traditional methods, or vitamin treatments. Music, vision therapy treatments, yoga and horseback riding are also used to treat autism. Kumar</b></em><div style="float:left;padding: 12px"><a href="/wp-content/uploads/cc/Chakra_balancing12.jpg"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/cc/Chakra_balancing12.jpg" alt='Chakra balancing' /></a></div><p>This story began in a time of innocence, dreams and nothingness and span over sometime calm and sometime turbulent quarter century, culminating in me jotting down these lines in multitude of alphabets similarly scattered over the cyberspace.</p><p>It was the fall of 1984-85 when I first entered the precinct of Bishop Westcott Boys School, one of the oldest schools in the eastern region of India founded in the year 1927 by Rev. Foss Westcott. Located on the bank of River Subarnarekha, situated in a picturesque green environs the school had the distinction of serving as a make shift hospital during the World War II and a movie based on it called &#8220;Hip Hip Hurray&#8221;</p><p>So here I was….The first day was very hectic where all new boys were assembled in the prayer room after the morning prayers to be sorted in four respective houses which were to be their family or identity of sorts throughout their years at Westcott Boys’ ,New students were hurdled in the centre of the room where they were to pull a chit from a fishbowl ……It took me sometime to understand what was happening…..</p><p>By then it was my turn…….. one of the teacher called out “Nelson House” and here I was marked for life…It was only latter in the day that I realized each house was represented by colours . Nelson- Blue ,Hastings-Red, Wellington-Green &amp; Allenby- Yellow next we queued up in book depot and got our new books and notebooks. Rest of the day passed and we settled in our new desks and benches in our respective classes.</p><p>It was a time we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays and yet managed to line up daily for the morning prayers at Assembly hall. When we use to chase one another in the corridors in breaks and returned to the classrooms drenched in sweat. Those were the days when we had lunch in Classrooms, Corridors, Playgrounds, under the Trees and even in Cycle Sheds.</p><p>We use to have two “Roll calls” –one early morning after the prayers and one in the Afternoon…..I remember we use to check our nails and try to chew it off at the seams, If shoes were not polished it was wiped behind the trouser legs or socks as “Juniors” were not allowed to wear Trousers.</p><p>Westcott was highly competitive where students never use to forget their individual ambitions. Students at Westcott wanted to be the best. It was hard to shine at a place where there are so many stars. Often, even if you were a stellar student in many areas, there was probably going to be someone better than you at something else. This competitive spirit pushed people to do better and achieve an even higher level of excellence. Many times, this academic environment involves a great amount of stress and Westcott was not for the faint hearted. The workload was rigorous right from learning mathematics with its calculations, physics with its proportions and chemistry with its equations, life was filled with hopes, dreams, confusions, tensions, happiness and sadness, a beautiful world of success and failure. Altogether it was an eventful one. The loving and caring words of our teachers, their claps at our victory, smiles at my achievements, those special moments set aside to talk and listen, their encouragement till the end</p><p>It was a time when a single P.T. period in the week&#8217;s time table was awaited more eagerly than the annual appraisals of any large corporate house .It was a time of fights but no conspiracies, of competitions but seldom jealousy, When we used to watch live cricket telecast in one of our teachers’ bungalow in Intervals and Lunch breaks.</p><p>It was a time when “Days Scholars” rushed at 2:30 to &#8220;Conquer&#8221; window seats in our School buses and hostelites or “Boarders” use to make same rush during meal times with all boys hung on to the fragile rear door of their respective dining hall (We had two of them Juniors &amp; Siniors)</p><p>when the kaka (the helpers were fondly called that) opened the door, 800 plus starving students rushed in for breakfast, tea, lunch or dinner. Each meal started and ended with a grace. Food was quite restricted in those days and every opportunity of grabbing extras from the “Dekchis” or you neighbour’s plate was made use of. We often bartered food items. Boys who brought eatables from home (called TUCK) guarded them like gold. One of my classmates brought some milk sweets from home and kept them away from us. One day he surprisingly became generous and starting distributing them to all, only to find no one eating them because they had picked up fungus. We also had one Sushil Maheskar who was once hunting for some money to go for a movie. He entered our room and asked us for some which we naturally refused. He then sighted some loose coins lying in front of the god’s Portrait. He picked out a few toffees from his pocket, dropped them in front of the god’s photo and picked up all the coins and left stating that his requirement was more than that of God.</p><p>During those days the “boys” and “teachers” were given nicknames and were called by those nicknames (Boys openly referred each others by nicknames but we were more discrete where it concerned our teachers and use to refer them by their nicknames only behind their back) , some of my friends were Michel Daru (his name was Mukul Kumar),Dibba ( He kept all his Boxes intact and use to take it back home at the end of each term) ,Nepali ( due to his anatomical resemblance),Foggy(Vikas fogla),Lambu(Rahul Shahdeo due to his height),Teachers’ nickname were traditionally passed on from one generation to another and were equally colourful ;Viz, Chakra (Mr.Chakraborthy),Bando (Mr. Bandopadya), Daku(or dacoit due to his aggressive and abusive dialect), We had Dingu or Mr.Dinger use to make comidies out of Shakeshpere tragedies.</p><p>There was a big craze for collecting “Big Fun” stickers and flag stickers. Most of our canteen money was spent on them. Boarders used to get twenty rupees on Sundays to go on out pass and during these time of City visit “Siniors” were to accompany the “Juniors”. Part of the money was also used in going to a “bakery” as our Canteen was called and eating some snacks. We often stole snacks and hide them in one pocket to eat later. The remaining amount was used to bribe the gatekeepers of the Sujata and Mini-Sujata theatres to check ou on Adult Movies.</p><p>The competitions for the inter house championship were taken very seriously and I had got into the habit of noting down points. As per official records our house was coming second but my records showed we were first. The anomaly was corrected and we walked away with the championship trophy. My house captain gave me a day’s leave for my effort. Another high point of my School days was Sports Day, and the annual School Day and month long preparations for them. Though my dream of seeing “Nelson” house at the top was never fulfilled ,the best we did was reaching the 2nd position .but I still cherish the adulation and admiration I use to get every year for one whole month for being one of “Champions”.</p><p>Imprinted in the memory lanes are the stressful quarterly, half yearly and annual exams and the most enjoyed holidays after them. We learnt, we enjoyed, we played, we won, we lost, we laughed, we cried, we fought, we thought. With so much fun in them, so many friends,</p><p>so much experience, all this and more.</p><p>Days passed, years flew at Westcott after a tumultuous, fun-filled journey and finally we were at the end of our school career. By then the miscreants were reformed, misdemeanors were punished and misunderstandings are cleared up and here we were transformed from boys into young men ready to take on the world with our aspirations and dreams</p><p>The last day is still very vivid when all of us were busy filling our scrap books and meeting teachers after our emotional and teary farewell , it was time to remember our days and years in Bishop Westcott Boys’ School ,It was time to remember our own stories and snippets through the years inside those four walls and relieve saga of members of the class of 1995 and teachers with whom their lives were intertwined. With the dusk setting in we left bidding one last farewell, this time for the good with our School motto “Non Nascor Mihi Solum” (Live not for self alone) printed in our heart.</p><p>Our lives took its own course and we all parted ways to meet again but not in such large numbers and whenever we met it was time to compare the balance sheet of our lives and always at the center amid the passion, laughter, and glory, stood Westcott the symbol of who we are and what we will be. It is also important to know the type of exercise diabetics should undertake that involve minimizing the risks and at the same time deriving maximum benefits to normalize the blood sugar and giving good health. There are mainly three types of exercises – aerobic, anaerobic and stretching exercises.</p><p><strong>Aerobic exercises –</strong> Aerobic exercises require increased amount of oxygen for prolonged period of time. They are beneficial to both the respiratory and circulatory systems of the body. This involves prolonged, repetitive use of large muscles of the body, which increase the body’s need of oxygen. These aerobic exercises are brisk or fast walking, jogging, swimming, cycling and skipping. These exercises help improve cardiovascular fitness.</p><p><strong>Anaerobic exercises –</strong> Exercises which are of short duration like weight lifting and sprinting that is short distance but top speed running. They strengthen the muscles but are of little help to the cardiovascular system. These exercises are out of bounds for the people with diabetes, as many dangers are involved to them.</p><p><strong>Stretching exercises –</strong> The stretching exercises are designed to strengthen the joints in the body and to improve their flexibility. They include the activities like yoga. They are useful as warming up or getting prepared for a more strenuous and prolonged period of exercise and also at the end as a cooling down exercise. If you&#8217;re a regular fast food chain eater, you&#8217;ve probably ingested many fat-soluble chemicals contained in the French fries, cheeseburgers, twisters and soft drinks you&#8217;ve consumed. An &#8216;overload&#8217; of these chemicals in the body can lead to illness and conditions like liver malfunction, kidney problems, hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiencies and inefficient metabolism. And the most common symptoms of these illnesses are the usual fatigue, poor skin and low tolerance to pain.</p><p>By going on a detox diet, people would have improved energy, clearer and fairer skin, a regular bowel movement, improved metabolism and digestion, increased concentration. There&#8217;s headache and a general feeling of weakness as the body is adjusting to the change in food intake. So it is recommended to start your diet plan gradually or on Fridays when you won&#8217;t be doing much physical activity or requiring much energy. Others may experience diarrhea as the body eliminates the toxins, so take care not to be dehydrated. Drink plenty of water.</p><p>Take note that such detox diet programs should not be done for a long time. They are normally recommended to be done at least one to two times a year, and should be done during the warm months.</p><p>If you&#8217;re thinking of getting started, make sure you consult a doctor or a nutritionist.
